The 13th International Mental Health Conference 2012
The 13th International Mental Health Conference will focus on the complex mental issues affecting the elderly including depression, dementia, delirium, paranoid disorders and anxiety. It will also explore the mental health issues of young Australians (aged 18 – 24 years) struggling with schizophrenia, depression, suicidal thoughts, bipolar, anxiety disorders and drug use and drug induced psychosis. 4th Australian Rural & Remote Mental Health Symposium
At our national symposium you will hear from a diverse range of presenters including some of Australia's leading academics and clinicians. You will experience a broad range of presenters who will report how their programs are "Putting People First" and what their research indicates for the future.
Keynote speakers will address recent developments and future initiatives including (but not limited to) the benefits of the implementation of the National Broadband Network , the impact on e-health programs, and the establishment of The Australasian Centre for Rural and Remote Mental Health. I invite you to join me, together with the symposium committee, in learning from our keynote speakers and their analyses, what is being done, and what needs to be done to better meet the mental health needs of rural and remote populations.
This symposium will also include workshops to develop skills related specifically to the mental health needs of our rural and remote communities, and ways to effectively prepare mental and other health professionals to meet future challenges. Read more
