Andrew Simpson, MH Nurse
Queensland’s major investment in mental health infrastructure and services offers exciting career opportunities for skilled and qualified mental health professionals.
This investment includes a significant expansion of community mental health services and additional acute and extended treatment beds across Queensland. The commissioning of these new facilities provides an excellent opportunity for experienced mental health professionals to be involved in supporting consumers in their journey towards recovery.
‘Work For Us’ is Queensland Health’s internal agency for recruiting qualified clinicians to public health services across Queensland. Whether you are seeking an outback adventure or a coastal change… short or long term work… to start now or down the track… Work For Us has an opportunity for you!
Mental health professional Andrew made the move to Queensland Health and is now working as a clinical nurse with the Acute Adult Mental Health team in Caboolture – one of Queensland’s key areas of growth.
“It’s exciting to watch our new mental health services being built here in Caboolture. With so many new mental health services opening up, there will be great career opportunities available across my entire district and all over Queensland."
“Anyone who has gone through the daunting process of relocating would be aware of the emotional and financial implications of such a move, but with the help of Queensland Health’s Candidate Care program, my move was made so much easier. Support and advice was there when I needed it.”
“Now that I’m here, I really enjoy the relaxed lifestyle, fantastic weather and the improved career prospects that Queensland Health offers.”
Our Allied Health Relief team can also offer a variety of opportunities for allied health clinicians interested in gaining experience and clinical variety through relief or locum positions across Queensland.
