Depression and Recovery: A Working Example

Paula will speak on the role of employment as a means of retaining community connection and self-esteem and as a conscious preventative method for maintaining wellness.

Australian television viewers will recognise 7 time Logie award winning actress Paula from her outstanding career on stage, film and television. Paula's personal journey is both interesting and informative with an outstanding contribution to our community.

What is less well known is the effect of depression on her career and the role her work played in supporting Paula along her recovery journey.  Over the course of more than 20 years Paula has had the opportunity to experience and reflect upon the importance of employment as a tool in the development and maintenance of good mental health.
