Dr. Kriscia Tapia is a Research Fellow at The Matilda Centre for Research in Mental Health and Substance Use, where she manages the randomised controlled trial of Strong & Deadly Futures, a culturally inclusive alcohol and drug prevention program for high-school students. Her research focuses on the health and wellbeing of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, with a particular interest in prevention science. Kriscia is deeply committed to community consultations and co-design, ensuring that her work is impactful and culturally safe. Her passion lies in co-developing evidence-based programs that support the long-term health and wellbeing of First Nations communities.
