About the Role

An exciting opportunity exists for a suitably qualified and experienced health professional (Social Worker, Registered Psychiatric Nurse, Psychologist or Occupational Therapist) to join our Camperdown Mental Health Service in a permanent full time Mental Health Clinician position.

As a valued member of our multidisciplinary team, you will support consumers with severe and persistent mental illness living within the local community. In a recovery oriented model of care, consumers, their families and carers are provided with clinical and non-clinical treatment as part of short and long term case management.

What You Bring

You will be a suitably qualified health professional with the ability to demonstrate excellent skills and a broad experience in mental health clinical services, including a proven ability to work within a team based multi-disciplinary model. A working knowledge of Recovery Oriented practices, trauma informed care, current mental health trends, legislation and relevant policy directions of mental health services also is essential for this role.

The successful applicant will have excellent written, communication and interpersonal skills and initiative with proven ability to work autonomously and within a team, as well as an ability to work with limited direction, be self-motivated, and provide effective problem-solving and negotiation skills.

Employment Terms and Conditions will be in line with theVictorian Public Mental Health Services Enterprise Agreement 2016-2020 or Victorian Public Health sector (Medical Scientists, Pharmacists & Psychologists) Enterprise Agreement 2017-2021, with the appropriate classification Registered Psychiatric Nurse Grade 3, Allied Health Professional Grade 2 or Psychologist Grade 1 or 2.

The successful applicant will be required to be eligible for and undergo the following:

  • Police Record Check
  • Employee Working with Children’s Check
  • Current Immunisation status
