To carve a new, strategic path forward for mental health workers and services worldwide, we need to unite, learn and take inspiration from each other

The mental health workforce – the now and the future

  • Our frontline mental health care workers and burnout – what is happening right now in the field vs what needs to happen, to support our workers as they face unprecedented demand and challenges.
  • Lived experience and consumer co-design.
  • What does the mental health workforce of the future look like? How can we support the longevity of our workforce? How can we strategically manage our workforce

Collaborating communities – joining forces for improved outcomes

  • Embedding culturally responsive models of care for Indigenous, First Nations people and Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) communities.
  • Qualitive and quantitative examples for community ownership around sharing data, e-mental health, using tech to give new strategies and choices which can add value and lighten the load.
  • A lifespan of mental health services - from uplifting our youth to supporting our ageing population.

Connecting the world - our diverse global community

  • Mental distress and substance use - addressing high needs & chronic complications arising from Global Events (climate change, COVID, War, Cost of Living)
  • Suicide Prevention – is more than just a ‘mental health’ issue – addressing socio-environmental determinants, data scarcity, media narratives and safety for individual, organisational and community driven initiatives.

  • Understanding the intersection between disability and mental health. How the current NDIS Psychosocial Disability Recovery-Oriented Framework fits into growing needs of the community.

Presentation Styles

Oral Presentation

Take the stage and present to the audience in a 15 or 25 minute speaking session with 5 minutes for questions.

Masterclass Presentation

Keep the attention of attendees via engaging, hands-on learning experience in a 90 minute workshop.

Panel Presentation

Panel presentations bring together views from a group of presenters into a discussion of innovative ideas, current topics, and relevant issues. Each panel session will run for 60 minutes and will consist of at least 3 panel members.

Poster Presentation

Visually showcase your research or services via a printed poster, displayed in the conference exhibition area for the duration of the conference. A dedicated 10 minute poster session is included in the conference program.
