Dr Jacinta Hawgood PhD

Jacinta Hawgood is Associate Professor at the Australian Institute for Suicide Research and Prevention, Griffith University, where she has worked since 2000. She is a recognised national and international expert in suicide prevention and suicidology tertiary education, training design and evaluation, and psyschosocial needs-based assessment and related workforce competency development and application, lived experience of suicide co-design, and personal suicide stigma. Her suicidology/clinical psychology expertise spans 27 years, operating a casual practice, supervision and consultancy since 1999. Jacinta is also board director and expert advisor for several organisations and has published numerous peer-reviewed articles and government reports in the field.
