For the past 20 years, Maja has worked across the mental health sector, including the last 11 years with the Murrumbidgee Primary Health Network (MPHN). During her time with MPHN, she has had the privilege of supporting the community that she was born and raised in. Her decision to pursue psychology was inspired by personal experience—growing up as the daughter of a Vietnam veteran who was diagnosed with PTSD following an inpatient stay during her teenage years. Maja is passionate about improving mental health outcomes for all communities across the Murrumbidgee. Her roles have included Manager of the Partners in Recovery program, Suicide Prevention Manager during the LifeSpan trial, Bushfire Response Lead, and, most recently, Manager of Mental Health, Alcohol and Other Drugs.
