Paul Cooper is a Lecturer with the University of South Australia; he holds a master’s degree in nursing (Mental Health). Paul has been a nurse for over a decade with general nursing before moving into the mental health space. He has worked in community, PICU and open Mental Health units. Paul lives in Port Elliot in regional South Australia and has a passion for regional and rural mental health. Paul has a focus on rural MH, vicarious trauma, older people's mental health and mental health education. Paul presented a poster presentation at the Rural MH conference with his colleague Eileen Petrie addressing the deficit of mental health education in Australian Nursing degrees.
