Dr Josie Clarke
Founding Director, Ability Agriculture Foundation
Dr Josie Clarke is the Founding Director of Ability Agriculture Foundation, a not-for-profit supporting community, opportunity and navigating pathways into agriculture for people with disability. Her work is shaped by both a background in agricultural science and her family’s lived experience of disability and mental health on their beef cattle farm on the mid north coast of NSW. Josie is passionate about building practical, community-led approaches that connect people in rural and regional areas to meaningful opportunities and community-led change. Through Ability Agriculture, she has fostered a growing national online community, creating spaces for connection, shared learning, and support. Her work highlights the importance of inclusion, while navigating the realities and sustainability challenges of small rural not-for-profits.
