Astley Nathan, an advocate for indigenous well-being, brings a rich background in media as a Māori journalist and presenter to the forefront of his work. With a deep desire to amplify indigenous voices, Astley embarked on a transformative three-year journey to reclaim Te Reo Māori and his identity as a proud Māori. His passion for indigenous well-being underpins his current role within the Mental Health Foundation of New Zealand and believes that every indigenous person is entitled to know who they are and where they come from. At the Indigenous Well-being Conference, Astley's expertise and enthusiasm promise to inspire meaningful dialogue and action.
