Denise, of Tongan heritage, is a registered clinical psychologist who recently transitioned from her role as Chief Executive of Le Va to a new position within the Wise Group, where she leads work focused on the primary prevention of mental health and addictions across Aotearoa. She has more than 20 years’ experience across the justice and health sectors and has overseen the development of national suicide prevention programmes including FLO: Pasifika for Life and LifeKeepers. Denise is dedicated to advancing Pacific community leadership in wellbeing and suicide prevention. She Chairs Pasifikology, contributes to national advisory forums, and has published on cultural responsiveness in mental health.
