Professor Jemaima Tiatia-Siau is a senior academic leader and scholar at Waipapa Taumata Rau, University of Auckland, serving as Pro Vice-Chancellor (Pacific). Her expertise spans Pacific Studies, health inequities, social sciences, Indigenous knowledge systems, and research equity, with a particular focus on mental health and wellbeing across diverse communities. She has led nationally and internationally significant research addressing youth mental health, suicide prevention and postvention, and climate change and mental health and culturally grounded wellbeing frameworks. Professor Tiatia-Siau is widely recognised for bridging research, policy, and practice, and for advancing inclusive, future-oriented higher-education and research systems across Aotearoa New Zealand and the wider Pacific region.
