The following information is provided to help make your attendance at the Stop Domestic Violence Conference 2026 as seamless and supported as possible. If you require assistance at any time during the conference, please visit the Conference Team at the registration desk.

PLAN YOUR VISIT

When will the conference be held?

The Stop Domestic Violence Conference 2026 will commence on Monday 23 November 2026 and conclude on Wednesday 25 November 2026.

Where is the conference located?

The conference will be held at:

Which is the best airport if travelling by air?

The closest airport is Canberra Airport, located approximately 10 minutes by car from Hotel Realm.
Delegates are responsible for arranging their own airport transfers.

Is parking available at the venue?

Hotel Realm offers:

  • Complimentary parking for hotel guests

  • Secure underground parking

  • Free precinct parking for the first 60 minutes

PRE-CONFERENCE ACTIVITIES

Are there any activities before the conference officially begins?

Yes. Pre-conference tours will run on Monday 23 November from 8:00am – 11:00am.
Further details, including booking information, will be provided on the website.

CONFERENCE PROGRAM

What time does the conference commence?

The main conference program will begin at 12:00pm (AEST) on Monday 23 November 2026.
The program runs across three days and concludes on Wednesday 25 November 2026.

How do I know when and where sessions are taking place?

The full program will be available:

  • On the conference website
  • Via the Conference App
A venue floorplan will also be available to assist with navigation.
Will sessions be livestreamed?

Yes. All keynote presentations and all sessions held in the main plenary room will be livestreamed for virtual delegates.

Will sessions be recorded?

Yes. All sessions across all rooms will be recorded, excluding workshops.
Recordings and available PowerPoint slides will be accessible via the Resource Centre approximately 30 days post-conference.

ACCOMMODATION

Do delegates receive a discounted accommodation rate?

Yes. Delegates attending SDV26 have access to an exclusive discounted accommodation rate at Hotel Realm, Burbury Hotel, Little National Hotel.
Accommodation bookings are subject to availability and should be secured early.

What time is hotel check-in and check-out?

Check-in: 3:00pm
Check-out: 10:00am
Accommodation accounts must be settled directly with the hotel on departure. The Conference Committee and Secretariat are not responsible for outstanding accommodation charges.

Can I store my luggage after check-out?

Yes. If you are staying at Hotel Realm, concierge can store your luggage until you depart.

REGISTRATION

Where do I collect my name badge?

Please collect your name badge from the registration desk upon arrival. Your badge is your official pass to all sessions, catering areas, exhibition spaces and networking functions, and must be worn at all times.

When is the registration desk open?

Registration desk hours will be published closer to the event and available on the website and Conference App.

What does my in-person registration include?

Your in-person registration includes:

  • All keynote presentations

  • All concurrent presentations

  • Conference catering (morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea)

  • Access to networking opportunities

  • Access to the Conference App

  • Session recordings (excluding workshops)

  • Access to the online Resource Centre

  • Certificate of Attendance

  • CPD hours

Are group rates available?

Yes. Group rates are available for teams.
Please submit your details in the Team of 4 or More form.

Are scholarships available?

Yes. Please see the Scholarships page for more information.

Can I transfer my registration?

Yes. Registrations may be transferred to another person free of charge.
Please submit your request via the contact form.

Are registrations refundable?

Registrations are non-refundable.

WELLBEING & SUPPORT

We recognise that the themes of this conference can be confronting or emotionally challenging.

  • Qualified counsellors will be available onsite for confidential support.

  • A dedicated quiet space will be available for delegates who require time away from sessions.

  • Delegates may step outside at any time.

If you require support, please approach the registration desk.

CATERING

Morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea will be served within the exhibition space.
All dietary requirements provided during registration will be catered for.

WI-FI, PHONES & DRESS

Wi-Fi: Complimentary Wi-Fi will be available to all delegates.
Mobile Phones: Please ensure phones are switched to silent during sessions.
Dress Code: Business casual or smart casual attire is recommended. Uniforms may be worn where appropriate.

Can I apply to exhibit?

Exhibition and sponsorship opportunities are limited and fill quickly.
