He kōrero mō te tūranga - The role
You'll be supporting a new five-bed, residential service for high and complex needs clients. We offer a vocation, not just a job. Our team is diverse, but what unites us is the passion to make a difference for our clients, their families and the community.
Your day will include:
• facilitating clients to work towards their personal goals and aspirations while providing dedicated support
• integrating clinical and rehabilitation knowledge/competencies with recovery approaches to provide quality services to clients and their whanau
• conducting assessments and reviews
• engaging one to one and running small groups.
He kōrero mōu - About you:
You'll need to bring your relevant experience, a flexible approach, and all your people skills. Importantly, you'll be open to new learning as part of ongoing professional development. You'll be known for your resilience and strong professional boundaries. You'll also have a talent for taking a calm and patient approach to challenges.
Importantly, you will also have:
• a current registration with a professional body covered by HPCA 2003 Act, Social Work Registration
• a current APC
• at least two years post qualifying experience working within mental health
• knowledge and experience of working in a residential setting would be beneficial
• a current full New Zealand driver's licence.
