EaseUp is an exciting and innovative new community-based service located in Mt Wellington. Within our addiction service, you will have the opportunity to work with rangatahi/youth aged 12-24 years where we offer holistic support to fit the needs of rangatahi and where rangatahi feel most comfortable e.g., whare, papa Kainga, local park.
You'll be joining a close knit and supportive whanau at EaseUp, who are passionate about supporting Rangatahi and have seen great success with their community model. Emerge Aotearoa are advocates for maintaining a work life balance, which can be achieved within EaseUp services.
Ngā Ratonga - Our services
Our EaseUp whanau's model of care is based around dual peer support, clinician approach working with rangatahi. Working within this new service, you will be at the forefront of change in the health sector and contribute to the further development of our model of care.
In addition to the above our EaseUp service works within the principles of abstinence and harm reduction, in a holistic manner, recognising the multi-faceted problems that co-exist with AOD addiction.
He kōrero mō te tūranga - The role
Our Senior Mental Health and Addiction Clinicians is responsible for providing clinical assessment and treatment for rangatahi who present with substance use issues. Rangatahi are then supported to work towards their treatment goals by the AOD Clinician's integration of clinical expertise and competencies with recovery approaches.
Administration and completing client pathway documentation are also a large part of the Senior Mental Health and Addiction Clinician's role. As a senior member of the team, you will provide coaching and mentoring support to the AOD Clinical team, facilitates professional development opportunities and participates in quality improvement projects and tasks as identified by the Service Manager.
This is for one full-time permanent staff member to work between the hours of 8am - 6pm Monday to Friday.

Current full APC, DAPAANZ or registration with a Professional Body covered by HCPA 2003 Act or Social Worker Registration Act 2003

A passion for and understanding of working with youth

Advanced communication and interpersonal skills

Strong professional boundaries and self-care strategies

Well-developed documentation and computer skills
-
Demonstrated commitment to the Treaty of Waitangi and culturally safe practice

A current full clean driver's licence
