Researchers at the Clinical Research Unit for Anxiety and Depression (CRUfAD) and the University of New South Wales are seeking participants for a study investigating beliefs, imagery, and behaviour.
Are you someone who is currently, or who was in the past, bothered by intrusive thoughts or images that you find difficult to control? Do you currently, or did you in the past, find yourself repeating certain behaviours (checking, washing, counting) that you find difficult to resist?
We hope to learn about the influence of different types of beliefs and thoughts on certain behaviours that are characteristic of people with anxiety symptoms and anxiety disorders.
Participation will involve answering some questions over the telephone, completing some self-report questionnaires, and completing word tasks over the internet for a period of 1 week with some 1-month follow-up questionnaires.
